Making connections with business partners helps everyone inside and outside the business world. Growth can come from all sides, and the National Aboriginal Business Opportunities Conference (NABOC) is an annual event that brings together industry leaders, both indigenous and non-indigenous, to share their knowledge in the spirit of development. These events lead to greater collaboration and support for local businesses, keeping jobs local and partnerships strong.
Making Connections that Strengthen Canadian Business
A couple weeks ago, we had the chance to participate in this year’s NABOC being held in Osoyoos. Over the course of the event, we heard from several indigenous leaders who are keen to get involved through direct action with businesses across Canada. This included a great keynote speech from Chief Clarence Louis of the Osoyoos band who shared his insights on Okanagan business. We appreciate hearing these talks, as they often show a side of Canadian business that isn’t always visible, revealing unique opportunities for growth domestically. We have a lot to offer businesses too, with a full range of rental equipment and products on hand for immediate use. Our tools can save businesses the cost of investment, plus the maintenance they require, so there are several ways that the NABOC conference helps GNB and other businesses alike.
This event was hosted on the Nk’mip resort, where we enjoyed their hospitality and played in the charity golf tournament alongside these talented attendees. The conferences were great, with talks ranging from B2B ventures to wholly indigenous projects and opportunities growing in bands across BC. We are always eager to support business that will lead to a more prosperous Canada for everyone. Looking forward to the next NABOC!
